Description

Karakami is a traditional Japanese decorative paper made using a technique similar to woodblock printing, produced by applying patterns with intricately carved wooden blocks.

Originally used as fusuma (sliding door) paper to enhance Japanese interiors, karakami is now widely embraced in modern spaces as wallpaper, architectural features, and lampshades.

We offer full customization of both paper color and printing color, and can also accommodate original designs. Please feel free to contact us.

About the Pattern

This motif is inspired by the keito (celosia) flower, named for its resemblance to a rooster’s crimson comb.

Because it turns vibrant red in autumn around the time wild geese begin their migration, it is also poetically referred to as “beni” (crimson), evoking the rich colors and vitality of the season.

Remarks

Can be processed to meet non-combustible certification standards.
